We’ve done it! Leire & Dunton Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Leaders and Helpers have walked the entire 100+ miles of the Leicestershire Round footpath. We are all shattered and aching, but incredibly proud and happy to have completed the challenge. So far we have raised an amazing £1,147 for LOROS Hospice. Donations are open until Monday 21st September 2026. If you haven’t already donated and could spare a little, please go to –

The Beavers completed their 25 mile share of the Round on Saturday, from Aston Flamville to Foxton Locks.

The Cubs completed most of their 25 miles on the Saturday, starting at Burrough Hill, but then finished the last few miles into Foxton Locks on Sunday.

The Scouts walked their 50 mile share over the two days, in three teams. Team 1 walked from Aston Flamville to Nailstone, Team 2 from Nailstone to Mountsorrel, and Team 3 from Mountsorrel to Burrough Hill.

All three sections camped at John’s Lee Wood on the Saturday night, taking some time to relax and repair, and to play wide games and sing songs (loudly) around the campfire.
