To celebrate the group’s 40th birthday, Leire & Dunton Beavers, Cubs & Scouts are walking the whole 100 mile length of the Leicestershire Round footpath between them over the weekend of the 12th-13th September 2026 in support of LOROS, the Leicestershire & Rutland Hospice.
The Beavers will walk around 25 miles (a few miles per Beaver, in purple on the map), and the Cubs (light green) will walk around 25 miles. Then the Scouts (dark green) will walk the remaining 50 miles (walking about 16 miles each over the two days).
This will be the fourth time the group has done this, and it is twenty years since we first did it in 2006.
